The third major event of Mohács Festival Month, the International Folk Dance Festival is traditionally held on the feast of St. Stephen and on the three days preceding it. The participants of the festival present their longer individual performances on the stage of the open air cinema at the local community centre from 11 p.m.
To commemorate the Battle of Mohács in 1526, a memorial concert, and wreath laying ceremony has been held in the Historical Memorial Park in the national graveyard every year on the last Sunday in August since its opening in1976.
t was a long tradition for the citizens of Mohács to take the ferry to the mouth of the Csele creek and visit the statue of Louis II erected in 1861( which has been renovated and reconstructed several times since then) and put flowers and lay wreaths on the memorial to commemorate the young king who was killed after the battle.
Closing event for the Festival Month, usually the first or perhaps the second weekend in September. Organizers: Béla Bartók Cultural Center, Vineyard Hill Mohács, Mohács- Boly White Wine Association. It is a one-day event.
